Abstract

The main question of the present study is what the Islam's view is on the way to interact with nature and this view is more in line with which of the major theories in this field including Anthropocentrism, Eco-Centrism and Biome-Centrism. Data were collected through library research. Also, since religious doctrines are compared with human theories in the study, it should be said that the research method is descriptive and comparative. The result of the study is that religious teachings, like the humanistic view, regard the intrinsic value of man far more than other beings, but unlike this theory and like the other two theories, it also gives moral value to other beings. The difference between the Islamic view and these two theories is that they equate the intrinsic value of man with other beings, but according to the Islamic view, man is distinguished from other beings since he has intellect and has accepted the providence and guardianship of God; and so he has acquired a license to conquer nature. Of course his seizure in the nature must be done with responsibility and commitment.
