Abstract

The rationale and organization of a four stage program designed to aid those children exhibiting the V/A-V Syndrome – a specific, localized and resistant reading problem in which a youngster may demonstrate a good visual memory for words but cannot translate visual-sound symbols (written words) back into their original sounds, symbol by symbol.
