Abstract

The article highlights the creative originality of Sergiu Galben, a prominent representative of Moldavian fine arts from the second half of the 20th century – the beginning of the 21st century. His works, varied in terms of motifs and expressive means, impress with the author’s emotional openness, suggest his harmonious connection with the universe of nature, his love for his native land. The artist is emotionally close to the environment of working people from the countryside, which he paints based on the well-assimilated European plastic culture.
