Abstract

Land reform projects are mushrooming all over the globe. But not all land reform programs are the same. In Latin America, especially under the impetus of the Alliance for Progress, several countries have passed or are discussing land reform laws. Concerned and progressive people everywhere scrutinize these proposals and laws, and often criticize them for being too mild or otherwise misdirected.
