Abstract
Due to their differing compositions, clinically available synthetic scaffolds designed to elicit bone regeneration vary widely in their efficacy. In this study, cell adhesion, cell proliferation/survival, growth factor sequestration, and gene expression changes were quantitated in human pre-osteoblasts to compare scaffold performance in the promotion of osteogenic differentiation.
