Abstract

The valve train of the swash-plate engine influences its power and efficiency directly. Based on distribution parameters of a swash-plate engine, we established the intake area model and venting area model of its valve train, and combined with the thermal process, we simulated indicator diagram of the engine. According to the analysis of the indicator diagram, we proposed a optimization method, which is extending intake angle, shortening venting angle and increasing the airway diameter, to optimize the valve train of the swash-plate engine. The simulation results indicate the optimization method not only can improve power of the swash-plate engine, but also can reduce throttling loss and improve its working efficiency.
