Abstract

Objective To assess the function of acute ischemic stroke acute ischemic stroke-associated pneumonia score (AIS-SAP)in predicting the risk of stroke-associated pneumonia (SAP) after acute ischemic stroke(AIS). Methods From July 2013 to April 2015, the AIS-SAP was used to assess the clinical characteristics of 309 patients with AIS in Beijing Tongren Hospital. Results The overall SAP after acute ischemic stroke was 12.9%. AIS-APS 28-35, 21-27, 14-20, 7-13, 0-6 the SAP in 7 days after acute ischemic stroke was 90.8%, 66.5%, 23.5%, 8.32%, 3.85% respectively. Conclusions AIS-APS is a valid tool for predicting in stroke-associated pneumonia (SAP) after acute ischemic stroke.
