Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical significance of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) antibody quantitative testing in the diagnosis of early rheumatoid arthritis (RA).Methods One hundred and twenty patients with RA from January to December 2011 were chosen as the experimental group and 120 cases with healthy check-up people in the same period were chosen as the control group, quantitative testing the anti-CCP antibody, while detecting RA related diagnosis index [rheumatoid factor (RF)],the results were analyzed. Results Compared with control group, the level of anti-CCP antibody and RF in experimental group were significantly elevated [(5.9 ± 1.4) RU/ml vs.(2.3 ± 0.2) RU/ml,(41 ± 18)kU/L vs.(28 ± 9) kU/L],there were significant differences (P < 0.05).The sensitivity of anti-CCP antibody and RF within 1 year course of disease was 88.5% (54/61) and 75.4% (46/61),there was significant difference (P < 0.05).Clinical diagnosis as the gold standard, the Kappa of the anti-CCP antibody and RF was 0.81 and 0.63.Conclusion The anti-CCP antibody has high sensitivity, clinical manifestations, diagnosis of early RA has good guidance value. Key words: Rheumatoid factor; Arthritis, rheumatoid; Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody
