Abstract
Measurements of the Ni Lα 1.2, C Kα and N Kα emission spectra of K 2Ni(CN) 4 show that those ionized states correlating with metal 3d and ligand (1π, 5σ) ionization span an energy range of = 2 eV, in good agreement with ionization energies calculated by the extended two-particle-hole Tamm-Dancoff method.
