Abstract
Regio- and stereoselective glycosidation of the C-3 hydroxyl of methyl 4,6- O-benzylidene-α- d-glucopyranoside and methyl 4,6- O-benzylidene-α- d-galactopyranoside, via formation of the respective copper chelate, is described.
