Abstract
Arthroscopy has proven to be a useful technique in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple ankle disorders. The confines of the joint, however, pose unique problems for arthroscopic instrumentation. Because of its adaptability, the electrothermal technique significantly enhances the arthroscopic approach to multiple soft tissue lesions about the ankle, including synovial disease, impingement, and instability.
