Abstract
Abstract The Coulter Counter is suitable for the particle size analysis of emulsions containing insoluble oils. All the emulsions obey the log normal distribution of particle size if allowance is made for particles below the lower limits of the apparatus. The variation of particle size with emulsifier concentration and volume fraction has been studied for liquid paraffin emulsions stabilized by potassium laurate and potassium arabate.
