Abstract
Abstract Direct observation and evaluation of relief images with some image detecting materials is often rather difficult due to poor image contrast. We have demonstrated that by contact microradiography or microfocus radiography one can obtain a contrast image of the original lithograph, which can be directly observed and which allows microdensitometric evaluation. Soft beta rays ( 14 C or 63 Ni) or very soft X-rays (5 - 10keV) have to be employed for microradiographic reproduction of the lithographic image. A typical area of application of this technique is in high resolution relief autoradiography.
