Abstract

For the exclusive investigation of 12C and 18O induced reactions at 84 MeV/u a set of three large area detectors has been developed, which allows to detect light particles and nuclear fragments over a large range in masses and energies. For this purpose a new type of parallel-plate avalanche detector has been constructed. Results on the determination of the average impact parameters for different event types and on the angular correlations between projectile fragments and light particles emitted from the target will be presented.
