AbstractIt remains now to summarize briefly the conclusions arrived at in the preceding study. The Greek Bible exhibits an astonishing variety of uses of , even to the extent that there is scarcely any particular use of the word as we observe it in the Greek Bible which is not attested in the contemporary secular literature. This is partly due to the fact that some portions of the Bible are more literary in character than the rest. Such are 2-4 Ma. for the LXX and writings of Luke for the New Testament.
