Abstract
Radiotherapy planning (RTP) CT scans are not subject to the same national diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) as diagnostic CT scans as their intended use is different. Recommended DRLs have not been implemented at national levels leading to significant variance in reported dose indices across radiotherapy departments. This study utilises dose tracking software, GE DosewatchTM, to analyse RTP protocol dose indices (CTDIvol, DLP and scan length) for Breast, Gynaecological, Head & Neck, Lung 4DCT, Lung 3D, and Prostate protocols.
