Abstract

This paper presents the main difficulties in learning computer programming faced by primary and secondary education students and examines whether Augmented Reality (AR) and animation can contribute to more effective teaching of this subject. The benefits of AR and animation in learning programming are presented and analyzed, and an overview of related applications developed in recent years is provided, as evidenced by the literature. Finally, conclusions are drawn, and suggestions for future research in this specific field are made.
