Abstract

ABSTRACT The Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Library conducted a usage study of its NetLibrary collections to determine whether there had been a substantive change in the propositions identified by Trueswell, and Kent, et al. in the University of Pittsburgh Study. Trueswell's 80/20 rule, confirmed by the Pittsburgh Study, identified that a small percentage of books constituted the greatest percentage of use measured in terms of circulation. The AUM study confirmed that this proposition has not been replaced by the conversion of books from print to digital formats and that there were not significant differences between print and electronic circulations for the most part.
