Abstract

This research aims to analyze the current understanding of the Brazilian National Electric Energy Agency in cases involving the unavailability of the public electricity transmission service due to adverse weather conditions. The methodology is qualitative and analytical, using bibliographical and documentary research. The normative and practical aspects of the Agency's decisions were explored, making it clear that there is a zone of uncertainty in the framing of certain events. Finally, the possible effects of this understanding were exposed. The article contributes to discussing a relevant and urgent issue to be addressed and explored by researchers and professionals in the sector.
