Abstract

The ultraviolet band system of S2O has been investigated both by the single-photon laser-induced-fluorescence method and the optical-optical double-resonance (OODR) spectroscopy via the triplet state. New vibrational levels, which did not appear in LIF by employing single-photon excitation, were observed by OODR spectroscopy. A vibrational analysis leads to the determination of the upper-state frequencies; ν′1 = 1030, ν′2 = 405 and ν′3 = 252 cm−1.
