Abstract

The influence of dopant species on the electrical transport properties was investigated in metallic polyacetyles (PA) doped with HClO 4, I 2 and HClSO 3. The temperature dependence of thermoelectric power, S(T), exhibited the typical metallic character as a whole but showed clearly different manners for PA's with different chemical species as dopant. The difference indicates that the transport properties are affected differently by the dopant species with a different chemical structure. The temperature dependence of Voltage-Shorted-Compaction (VSC) resistivity, ρ vsc(T), also indicates corresponding results with those of S(T).
