Abstract
The perineal/perirectal region is often involved in acute inflammatory changes: fistulas and abscesses are highly painful with the need of rather fast forward therapeutic intervention by the surgeon. Thus a reliable, available and fast imaging modality is preliminarily needed to opt for the best surgical procedure which is usually needed instantaneously.
