Abstract

The kinetics of water desorption from various cationic and dealuminated forms of mordenite was investigated. It was determined that desorption kinetics in the lower temperature range, below 600 K, depends on the degree of mordenite dealumination and decationization. The dependence of the desorption process activation energy upon degree of coverage was calculated. In the range of higher degrees of coverage the activation energy is near the heat of water adsorption. By decreasing the degree of coverage the activation energy increases sharply by θ
