Abstract
The mechanisms of the solid state polymerization reaction of TSHD-diacetylene crystals in the combined photopolymerization and thermal polymerization reaction have been analyzed by ESR and optical spectroscopy. The structures and the properties of the triplet carbene type (C), the quintet dicarbene type (DC) and the final stable polymer (SP) will be discussed.
