Abstract
Following the theory of irreversible processes, the case of a multi- component, ionized fluid, supposedly anisotropic with symmetry of revolution around the magnetic field lines, is investigated. The adoption of the two-fluid model imposes strict conditions on the thermodynamical properties involved; validity of the approximation is severely limited. Conclusions are confirmed by the ChapmanEnskog theory in the linear approximation. (L.N.N.)
