Abstract
Quantitative representation of the intensity of appearance of properties of interest to the user in a given group of objects is studied. Initial information is assumed to be the opinion expressed in verbal form of the user on the degree of appearance of these properties in given objects. The approach is based on ternary comparison, instead of the traditional pairwise comparison of objects.
