Abstract
Measurements of the temperature dependence of contact angles of long-chained alkanes from decane to hexadecane are reported in the temperature range from 25°C to 70°C. Solid surface tensions and surface entropies are estimated. Heats of wetting calculated from these data are compared with calorimetric heats of immersion.
