Abstract
The study aimed to encourage the integration of digital technologies and active methodologies in teaching practice, both in remote and classroom teaching, based on an experience report with the Engagement Loop method. This method is used in the active gamification methodology to promote more attractive classes with wide student participation in remote classes taught through the Microsoft TEAMS Platform, at Etec Professor Luiz Pires Barbosa. This is a non-evaluative activity where the Engagement Loop method was used in the year 2021. Quantitative comparisons were presented between the focus of the study and the evaluative activity carried out in the same period, with students in the first year of Formative Itinerary High School, students in the first module of the Technical Course, and with students who started in the previous year used to access the platform only to perform activities and who are currently in the third module of the Technical Course. We verified a higher participation of students entering in 2021, and it is perfectly possible to work with active methodologies and use digital technologies in the routine of remote classes, with the possibility of implementing them also in face-to-face classes, as soon as they are resumed.
