Abstract

Polymeric networks based on bis-trimethylene glycol-bis-diethylene glyco-, and bis-ethylene glycol-α,ω-dimethacryl phthalates have been synthesized by the anionic mechanism of polymerization. The steric polymer yields have been determined as a function of catalyst concentration. The produced crosslinked polymers were examined by small angle X-ray; the type of the heterogeneous structure and the formation conditions were correlated with the polymerization conditions. The parameters of the micro-heterogeneous network structure have been determined and the link found with the geometrical features of the initial oligomer chains, as well as the synthesis conditions.
