Abstract
The paper presents a method of deriving operating rules for multiple purposes reservoirs based on successive approximation dynamic programming technique. The purpose of a method is to prepare starting operating rule curves for complex simulation models particularily when these are to be applied in planning studies of water resources systems with reservoirs.
