The article is an ordered and systematized the material illuminating the study of the history of the hotel industry in Omsk. The authors analyze the publications that reflect the main stages of development of the hotel industry, thus creating a diverse polyphonic picture of the functioning of the hotel enterprises in the region. Systematizing periodic material, the researchers focus on the key facilities of the functioning of the hotel industry, the most striking of which is the activity of the hotel enterprises, the organization of services in the hotel industry, the formation and development of hotel facilities, etc.
