Abstract

A limited or semi-limited layer of a compressible liquid is usually adopted as model of hydro constructions of various purposes. This paper presents the results of analytical study of the distribution of contact stresses at the interface between an elastic layer and a limited pool of liquid. In the system «elastic medium – liquid» the harmonic oscillations are excited by surface vibration source. In this work the integral equation of the first kind with kernel depending on both difference and sum of the arguments is obtained and solved, the function describing the distribution of contact stresses in the area of contact between liquid and elastic media with consideration of physical and frequency factors is also built. The described model can be used in the development of more complex models that allow the determination of the main characteristics of the contact interaction in hydroelastic «liquid – soil» systems.
