Abstract

This paper studies the accuracy and applicability of different spatial interpolation methods in the spatial distribution of sediment particle size. Based on the ocean current data of Ningjin small bay heiniwan in Rongcheng in 2004, this paper discusses the surface sediment particle size parameters of the spatial interpolation, different interpolation method of overall error range of 37.2% plus or minus 27.7%, mutation area (near M05) times, 25.8% plus or minus 20.3%, and the minimum error results, uniform interpolation area got error range is only 12.1% plus or minus 9.7%. The interpolation results in the region with uniform data distribution were better than those in the boundary region and the mutation region. In addition, on the three selected observation scales, the errors of different interpolation methods are significantly positively correlated with the grid spacing of field sampling.
