Abstract
Abstract The so called iron- and ruthenium-graphite compounds prepared by the reduction of stage-1 FeCl3-GIC and stage-2 RuCl3-GIC with hydrogen and K-naphthalenide/THF solutions were investigated by XRD, SEM with EDX and TEM. The structural properties of these compounds are discussed with regard to possibly exisisting two-dimensional iron- and ruthenium-graphite.
