Abstract

Unfortunately, insufficient attention is paid to the anatomy of wild animals in modern morphology. The purpose of our work was to study the structure of the skull of the Siberian roe deer. Osteological preparations made by us independently were used for the work. As a result of the work carried out, we were able to establish the characteristic features of the roe deer in the structure of both the facial and cerebral parts of the skull, as well as individual bones that are part of these departments. The information obtained by us can be used when writing the relevant sections of textbooks on the anatomy of wild animals, during the forensic veterinary examination of various wildlife objects, in particular hunting trophies obtained illegally.
