Abstract

Abstract The Historical Society of Pennsylvania has acquired a sizeable amount of ephemera, but it has not always been certain how to administer this medium. Storage has been haphazard and cataloging inconsistent. The increasing recognition and use of ephemera as a documentary resource requires that it receive better attention and improved access. As the Historical Society of Pennsylvania attempts to bring better control to what is already in thecollections, it is also trying to develop strategies for establishing contemporary ephemera collections.
