Abstract

India has the largest youth population in the world, i.e. 24 million young people aged 10 to 24 years. More than half of India’s population is under 25 years of age. This age group corresponds to the working population that contributes to the development of the economy and the country. Since young adults struggle to make important decisions relevant to their future prospects and work. Literature review too brings out the importance of studying concerns of young adults in terms of their work and career aspirations and gaining insights into their perspectives. Young people’s concerns and support were also explored taking into account the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on future decisions. The paper has been written from the standpoint of Human Development in an attempt to understand young people’s career aspirations.
