Abstract

Abstract The specific heat of cerium magnesium nitrate has been measured in the range 1·5°K to 10°K where the magnetic specific heat is negligible compared with the lattice specific heat. It was found that above 3°k the lattice specific heat cannot be represented by a single Debye term but below this temperature it is given by CL = 1·3×lO−3.RT3.
