The solution to improve the quality and reliability of permanent benchmark network for settlement monitoring

Abstract

Benchmark is a particularly important item that determines the quality of settlement monitoring. However, building a benchmark with a stable height is a very difficult and expensive task. Most of the current benchmarks that are built to monitor the settlement of buildings are not satisfactory for stable heights, thus greatly affecting the quality of settlement monitoring as well as building stability assessment. of the project. In this paper, a new kind of benchmark is proposed that can give a relatively stable elevation but is not too expensive and is completely feasible in condition of Việt Nam.
