Abstract

Abstract A simple gas-liquid membrane equilibrator has been used to determine the solubility of methyl bromide in pure water, 35%. NaCl, and seawater over the temperature range from 0 ° to 30 °C. The measurements have an accuracy of ± 2% and a relative precision of 4%. The data have been fit to a temperature- and salinity-dependent expression to provide solubilities for methyl bromide in pure water, seawater, and NaCl solutions.
