Abstract
The importance of the entrepreneurship for the economy is stressed out in the literature for its capacity to create employments, to supply new products, and to institute a local representation net of small businesses. In the same way, the growing importance of the tourism is not only related to the existence of privileged natural conditions as well as to the need of looking for new sustainable development alternatives for small regions that have been excluded of traditional economical activities. Therefore, this article aims at analyzing small business productive organization in tourism activities in the region of Canoa Quebrada, CE, by studying the enterprising behavior characteristics. The exploratory-descritive research, which is also qualitative and quantitative in nature, adopted the case study methodology. The study concludes that, despite the difficulties and the obstacles faced during the beginning of the organization process and the interests diversity, the singular capacity to be organized and associated make the studied region stand out. The relationships started from the entrepreneurs’ organization privileges the territory of productive arrangement for sustainable local development, especially among the actions focused on the tourism, main product of the studied region.
