Abstract

An eddy current method for detecting, positioning and sizing small cracks in holes is described. For NDT applications, a record of crack damage in a hole can be obtained and for mechanical testing, fatigue crack nucleation and growth data from cracks in holes can be determined. Preliminary results are presented.
