Abstract

This paper analyses the history of the Silk Road and its importance as a trading route between the Han Dynasty and the Roman Empire. It discusses the cultural, political, and economic impact that the Silk Road had on both empires, as well as the legacy it left behind. It examines how the exchange of goods and ideas created a mutually beneficial relationship between the two empires and how this trading system enabled the spread of technological advances, religions, and ideas. Finally, it looks at how the Silk Road's lasting legacy continues to be seen in today's world.
