Abstract
The title of this paper is more ambitious than the contents. In labor markets which include both overtime work and multiple job-holding--moonlighting in contemporary American slang--can we be sure that the representative worker will wish to supply fewer total hours of work per week when his standard work week is reduced but his weekly take-home pay remains constant? We do not consider the demand side of the labor markets.
