Abstract

This paper presents aspects related to the electromagnetic shielding materials used in the construction of various types of specialized electromagnetic field (EMC) test site. Important aspects of the machine process and how to make the electromagnetic shield are also presented. Five different types of composite materials are presented from the point of view of their structure. They have been tested according to the specific standard IEEE Std 299:2006. The shielding effectiveness of the five different types of architectural shielding materials was calculated for each material separately, and then compared. The tabular presentation of the results was made in order to compare the effectiveness of the screening they have. Conclusions regarding the shielding performances that each analyzed material recorded during the measurements performed are also presented.
