Abstract

The extraction and stripping of lead from its acetate solution by LIX 64N diluted with Kermac 470B are reported. From these results, a process for the separation of lead from copper by co-extraction and selective stripping has been proposed. Very good co-extraction and selective stripping efficiencies were obtained which indicated that a high degree of separation between copper and lead could be achieved.
