Abstract
The transient absorption behaviour of 10H-acridin-9-one and the 10-alkyl-substituted derivatives has been investigated with a nanosecond dye-laser spectrometer. The S 1-S n and T 1-T n absorptions were compared in solutions of ethanol, cyclohexane and PMMA, with and without time delay of the spectroscopic beam.
