Abstract

The contributions of the XRCC1, XRCC3, and PALB2 genes to the genesis of sporadic forms of breast cancer are studied in Belarusian women. Genotypes associated with higher risk of breast cancer are identified: AA for polymorphism p.R559Q in PALB2, AG for p.Q399R in XRCC1, and TT for p.T241M in XRCC3. The GG genotype for p.Q399R is associated with highly differentiated and moderately differentiated tumors. The presence/absence of metastases in the regional lymph nodes is found to be associated with genotypes TG for SNP p.T1100T (PALB2), and TT for p.241M (XRCC3). A significantly higher risk of local recurrence is noted in breast cancer patients with genotype TT for p.T241M (XRCC3).
