Abstract

The paper deals with the role of school library in the educational process, with special attention paid to its role in the implementation of integrative teaching from first to fourth grade of elementary school. In highlighting its role in the teaching process, started from the idea citing the school library, its main tasks and role in the process of education of each individual. As the modern elementary school is increasingly insisting on integrative thematic approach to teaching, are given basic characteristics of integrative teaching, forms and conditions of implementation of this innovative model. It was determined that the school library plays an important role in the realization of integrative teaching, but its capabilities are not sufficiently exploited. The proposed work plan of the school librarian for the preparation and implementation of integrative teaching classes in the school library.
