Abstract

The article discusses the role and features of the use of the metro as a resource for cultural tourism in the example of the Russian metro. The two cities (Moscow and St. Petersburg) selected for analysis demonstrate the development of this industry both in terms of logistics and the tourism industry. The Russian metro provides a good example of how the metro system can be used as a resource for cultural tourism, for example, One of the classics of attracting tourists to the Russian metro is the design of station interiors according to their location objects, innovative solutions for transforming metro areas into exhibition areas or performance venues, etc., to provide tourists with a unique and memorable experience, highlighting the culture and history of different Russian cities.
